Tips for Home Buyers
Know Your Agent. Agent reviews are pretty easy to find online. There are a lot of awesome agents, make sure you choose one of them.
Use a local lender. There are several fantastic lenders in Utah. Lenders have different rates, fees, and products. Local lenders know the best programs available to help save you money.
Get an Inspection! Even on a brand new home, an inspection may cost $300-500, but could save you thousands in repairs later on.
Make sure your agent is a Realtor and uses NAR approved forms.
Use a brokerage with a non-compete broker. This insures the broker will also be on your side as a buyer.
Use a buyer’s agent. The seller’s agent is representing the seller’s best interest. You should have your own agent to represent your best interests and negotiate the sale. Sellers typically pay for the agent on both sides of the deal. So take advantage of that and get yourself a buyer’s agent.
